Hibiscus is also part of Adiv’s “Temple Waste Project” that uses recycled flowers which have been placed before idols as part of traditional Hindu worship.

The hibiscus is generally offered to Ganesha—the Elephant God

It has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic hair potions for the jeweled reddish-purple tones that it yields.

On fabric, when steam-treated it yields a dark blackish-purple

Its natural soothing properties are an effective shield against sunburn, carbuncles, swelling and general skin irritation.
